HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 22, 2024) – It’s the annual return to a time when adventure and danger was common on the Great Lakes.
“Mysteries and Histories Beneath the Inland Seas” is this Saturday evening. From 7 to 9:30 PM at the Knickerbocker Theatre in Holland (86 E. 8th St.), former City Councilman Craig Rich and his fellow members of the Michigan Shipwreck Research Association will present a program documenting recent discoveries under the waters of the Great Lakes, including what his group found last summer.
Also on the program are presentations by Wayne Lusardi about the wreck of a Bell P39 Aircobra piloted by one of the Tuskegee Airmen during a World War II training mission; Brendon Baillod on the discovery of the schooner Trinidad; and Dan Fountain on the story of the Arlington that was found in Lake Superior last summer.
Tickets are $20 in advance through the Michigan Shipwreck Research Association website and $25 at the door. Members of MRSA will also be invited to a post-event pizza party.
