HOPKINS TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 12, 2024) – A motorist suffered critical injuries after a single-vehicle crash near Hopkins on Tuesday evening.
No names or other identification were immediately disclosed by Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Blair Kacos, who was among deputies and other first responders dispatched to the area of 129th Avenue near 12th Street around 8:45 PM. They found a vehicle on fire and the motorist unresponsive. The man was taken to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment, while the area was blocked off for several hours.
Kacos added that speed was believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
