Junior thrower Greta Robrahn (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland East HS) is the MIAA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while sophomore forward Sydney Vis (Byron Center, Michigan / South Christian) is the MIAA Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.
This is Robrhan’s first weekly honor of the season and the fourth of her career.
The physical and health education major won the shot put at a meet hosted by Aquinas College by hurling a season-best toss of 12.90 meters (42 feet, 4 inches).
Robrahn’s throw puts her 39th in NCAA Division III this season.
Vis earned MIAA Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season and in her career.
Last week, Vis averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists during road victories at Kalamazoo College and Trine University.
Vis shot 47.8% from the field and 60% from 3-point range to help the Flying Dutch clinch an outright regular-season championship and the top seed for next week’s league tournament.
