GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 9, 2024) – Even though the Detroit Lions didn’t make it to Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, it doesn’t mean that fans won’t be flocking to local taverns and parties to take in the festivities from Las Vegas.
John Richard from the MDot office in Grand Rapids, one of the biggest proponents of the Safe System Approach toward zero fatalities and serious injuries on Michigan Roads, says that this is another time for personal responsibility to be preeminent.
According to state police numbers earlier this month, there have been 79 fatalities on Michigan roads and 251 motorists seriously injured in 2024, which is down three in fatalities and 54 in serious injuries as compared to this time in 2023. A reminder that complete coverage of Super Bowl 58 from Westwood One begins at 2 PM this Sunday on 99 7/1450 WHTC, as well as on WHTC.com and through the WHTC app for your smartphone.
