ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 5, 2024) – Downtown parking will be among the topics before Zeeland City Council members during their biweekly business meeting on Monday evening.
An ordinance proposal for expanding two-hour restrictions for sections of Main Avenue, as well as Elm and Church streets, to Mondays through Saturdays, from 7 AM to 5 PM, as well as stretching such guidelines along Main from State to Maple streets, will get a procedural first reading prior to a final vote two weeks from now. Fines would be increased as well.
During the 5:45 PM work-study session prior to the 7 PM business meeting, council will go over a proposed agreement with Huntington Bank for its 40-space parking lot near Elm Street and Washington Avenue at an annual fee of $8,000, as well as receive a strategic action plan from the Howard Miller Library and Community Center.
The Zeeland City Council meets in Chambers at Zeeland City Hall (21 S. Elm St.). An online link to the meeting agenda and supporting documents is here.
