Carol was a patient, strong, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother; She had a big heart and a quiet strength; She was beautiful on the inside and out. She was a dedicated employee at Hamilton Food Center over the years and enjoyed tending to her flower garden in her free time. She was friendly, helpful, a good friend, and regularly attended her grandchildren’s events. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Viening; brother, Glenn Viening; and brother-in-law, A. James Kleis.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Kaper; son, Scott Kaper & Amberly Kauranen (Kolbee Kaper, Karson Kaper, one on the way); daughter, Tanya and Tim Koning (Daniel Koning, Gracelyn Koning); father, George Viening; brother, Scott and Jami Viening; brother-in-law, Robert and Marla Kaper; sister-in-law, Sal and Ted Fik; sister-in-law, Jackie and Paul Rozema; her nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Visitation with the family is 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Haven Reformed Church, 4691 Oak Street, Hamilton, MI 49419.
Memorial services are planned for 11:00 am on Thursday, February 1, 2024, also at Haven Reformed Church with Rev. Michael Drew officiating.
