Noubay was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and beyond, who was commonly known as a “mother to all.” She was such a blessing and inspiration. The most non-judgmental person there was, she truly loved all walks of life. She inspired others with her kindness, positivity, strength, and dedication. She was a true warrior and fought for what she believed in no matter how much she was up against. She is now at peace.
Noubay was preceded in death by her father, Tha Banna.
She is survived by her husband, Paris Dom Chanthala; children: Micola Chanthala, Miranda Chanthala, Billy (Cherry Lim) Chanthala; grandchildren: Rylan Saeteurn, Zayne Anongdeth, Alamia Rivera, Scarlett Chanthala; mother, Moon Banna; siblings: Panja Banna, Sira Banna, Paitoon Banna, Paitoon Banna, Prapasorn Jumpasom, Chanisara Kuankamnuan, Pariyakorn Pardy, siblings-in-law: Montana Chanthala, Lumtien Chanthala, Saengdeune Chanthala, Nancy Chanthala, Sara Chanthala, Viengthong Chanthala, London Inthisane, Nou Chanthala, Tor Chanthala; and many nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2024, also at the funeral home, with the traditional Buddhist Rite of Chanting beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eulogies and procession to the crematory will follow.
