HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 25, 2024) – The effort to have the city of Holland completely wired for online use is underway.
During Wednesday night’s Holland City Council Work-Study Session, Holland BPW General Manager Dave Koster gave an update on the municipal utility’s expansion of the community-owned fiber network that began in earnest 18 months ago when voters approved a $30 million bond proposal.
Crews hope to have the initial work in the downtown and Kollen Park areas complete before Tulip Time in early May, and Koster believes that a goal of having the entire project finished by the start of Holland’s signature event in 2025 could be realistic.
