HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 17, 2024) – With the future of the Holland Aquatic Center assured, Jack Huisingh is stepping aside.
On Wednesday, the executive director of the community recreation center announced his retirement, effective at the end of June. During his over 10 years of guiding the HAC, he oversaw a $26.3 million, 50,000-plus square foot expansion and renovation project that made the center a noted destination for not only swimming competition, but for athletic workouts and rehabilitation.
“Eleven years ago, I felt a pull to become more involved and improve something in our community that would last for generations, particularly at an organization that was near and dear to my heart. I have been blessed to be a part of a team that works tirelessly to impact and improve the health and wellness of our community today and for generations to come.” – Jack Huisingh
The HAC Board of Directors has created a select committee to head up a nationwide search for a new Executive Director.
