DEARBORN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 15, 2024) – Just as the snow rose higher and higher along the Lakeshore this weekend, gas prices also climbed, not only here, but across the state as well.
That’s according to Triple-A Michigan, whose daily look at fuel rates pegged the Great Lakes State at an average of $2.96 a gallon as of dawn this morning, up a nickel and a dime from a week ago, but 34 cents less than this time last year. Adrianne Woodland of the Auto Club in Dearborn tried to explain why.
Locally, Ottawa County’s average of $2.95 was four pennies below that of neighboring Allegan County at $2.99.
