Pearl Iris (Miles) Geerlings, 81, of Overisel, passed away while at the Laurels of Hudsonville on January 5, 2024.
She was born in Holland, Michigan and attended Holland High School. Pearl married Eldon Geerlings in 1961 and moved to Overisel in 1967 where they started their family and hobby farm.
Pearl followed Jesus Christ with all her heart and pursued the truth in the Bible through group Bible studies and important conversations.
She dearly loved her family and all the animals they had over the years. Being outdoors watching the horses in the pasture and the cats playing in the barn was so relaxing for her. She had a passion for flowers and had a beautiful flower garden. Pearl spent hours watching and caring for the birds outside, enjoyed camping, watching her grandkids in all their activities, and was a big fan of game shows on the television.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Geerlings, daughter, Melesa Rae Geerlings, sisters, Hazel (Bill) Rice and Rose Stam, brother Marvin Miles, in-laws, Lonnie Stewart, Marva Hillsburg and Dennis Geerlings.
Pearl is survived by her two daughters; Lynette Geerlings and Tracy Nyboer; grandchildren: Tyrel (Ivan) Nyboer of Holland, Meghan Nyboer of Holland, and Alec (Ellery) Nyboer of Jackson, MI; sisters: Grace Stewart, Crystal (Robert) Walters; brother; David (Charlotte) Miles; brothers-in-law: Craig Stam Sr. and Paul Hillsburg.
