BANGOR TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 28, 2023) – There were some anxious moments on Wednesday for the family of an 80-year-old Bangor area man who went missing.
Robert Gale had not been seen since 9 AM, and since he is afflicted with dementia and needs daily medication, his disappearance caused concern.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department issued a public notice of this matter around 6 PM, and at 11:40 PM, a tipster noted that a man matching his description was spotted working on a truck in Kalamazoo County. Authorities arrived to see Gale with his vehicle, and found that he couldn’t contact relatives because his smart phone’s battery had lost all power. He was in good health, though, and was returned safely to his family.
