Jada Garner tallied 18 points as Hope’s women downed visiting Augustana last night, 83-64. The Flying Dutch host Millikin at DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland this evening, with coverage from Greg Chandler at 6:30 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
Grand Valley State split a pair of basketball games on Tuesday. In a matinee, Ellie Droste’s 17 points helped the women cruise past visiting Thomas More, 85-36. Max Kunnert tossed in 20 points as Illinois-Springfield’s men downed the visiting Lakers last night, 70-57. Both GVSU teams are now off until next Saturday afternoon, when they host a doubleheader at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale, as the women face Rochester and the men meet Lourdes.
In state major college basketball last night, Michigan fell in double overtime to Florida, 106-101, while Central Michigan demolished Davenport, 90-66. This evening, Oakland is at Dayton.

Tyler Johnson’s goal 8:19 into the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and gave the Blackhawks a 3-2 triumph over the visiting Colorado Avalanche last night. Chicago is home to the Montreal Canadiens at the United Center on Friday evening.
