ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 12, 2023) – It was hello to a new board member and thank you for a staffer during Monday’s Zeeland Board of Education meeting.
The members of the school district’s governing panel appointed Dr. Tami Mannes to fill the vacancy created by Linda Bush’s resignation in October. A Grand Valley State graduate, Mannes is Director of Early Childhood and District Improvement with the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, and will serve the remainder of Bush’s term, through the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, the district has named Lisa Boeve as the new director of the Zee Bus summer reading program, replacing Mary Beth Timmer, who created the initiative that had a converted school bus regularly deliver reading materials to neighborhoods throughout the district. Boeve has worked with the Zee Bus program the past two years.
