ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 27, 2023) – The first of three holiday parades along the Lakeshore this week takes place on Monday evening.
The annual Magical Christmas Parade runs through downtown Zeeland. The festivities begin at 5:45 PM with caroling at the TUBA Christmas in the Splash Pad Park, followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree a half hour later. It’s the 11th year that Zeeland has had an official City Christmas Tree, as the 20-foot Fraiser Fur was transported to the Splash Pad last week.
Starting at 6:30 PM, over 60 entries will be traveling west on Main Avenue to Elm Street, and then south on Elm to Central Avenue, and finally east on Central to the finish at Maple Streets. Santa will be at the end of the parade line.
Holland’s Parade of Lights through 8th Street downtown is on Tuesday evening, and Saugatuck’s Holiday Parade starts late on Saturday morning, beginning at Wicks Park.
