ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 22, 2023) – For some, it’s a way to work up an appetite for the traditional Thanksgiving Day banquet, but for others, it’s a way to help those with fur and feathers.
The annual Zeeland Turkey Trot is slated for Thursday morning, with an 8K run through the downtown district and its nearby neighborhoods. Mayor Kevin Klynstra won’t be doing any jogging, but he will be on hand to lend his support.
The run is actually around five miles, and proceeds from the race will benefit the Harbor Humane Society. An online link to more information and registration, which will be capped at 1,500, is here.
