ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 31, 2023) – There is a vacancy on the Zeeland Board of Education that needs filling.
On Monday, Zeeland Public Schools announced the resignation of Linda Bush from its governing panel, effective on November 13. She has been on the board for 15 years, including stints as its secretary and treasurer. No reason for her departure was mentioned in the district statement.

Our own children attended and graduated from ZPS, and after serving on the Board of Education since 2008, I am grateful to have been able to serve ZPS and our community. It has been a privilege to work alongside my fellow board colleagues as well as with Superintendent Mendham and her team. The board has 30 days to fill the vacancy, and look to name Bush’s successor through the end of 2024 at its December 18th meeting.
According to the district: Qualified and interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and resume listing work and volunteer experience in writing by November 10, 2023, at 3 PM to Zeeland Public Schools Board of Education, 183 West Roosevelt Ave. Zeeland MI 49464.
