HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 26, 2023) – The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area has received a financial shot in the arm for its efforts to help address needs along the Lakeshore.
On Wednesday, the foundation announced the recent receiving of a nearly $1.5 million estate gift from what is only being disclosed as a “local donor.” The anonymous benefactor had initially disclosed this intention during the “Today. Tomorrow. Forever.” campaign eight years ago, an initiative that ultimately created over a hundred new legacy commitments for the CFHZ.
According to President and CEO Patrick Cisler, the foundation is looking to distribute over a million dollars from its Community Endowment fund in 2023.
Announcement of this gift comes with the backdrop of October being National Estate Planning Awareness Month.
