Joan Bolman, age 90 of Zeeland passed away peacefully Monday, October 9, 2023.
She was born in Fillmore Township to William and Janet (Terpstra) Bolman on April 23, 1933.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carolyn Voss, her brother-in-law Melvin Voss, her sister-in-law Marilyn Bolman, and her niece Debra Voss, her special friend Dwight Riemersma.
She is survived by her siblings: William and Kay Bolman of Zeeland, and Eugene and Lois Bolman of Zeeland; her nieces and nephews: Mark and Pam Voss, Brian Voss, Patti McCormick and Richard Totino, Jana and Evan Dawdy, Douglas and Tracy Bolman, Timothy and Kimberly Bolman, Sarah and Andrew Sobel, and several great nieces and nephews.
Joan worked as an administrative secretary at Western Theological Seminary for 28 years. She also worked at Miles Laboratory and Hope College. After retirement Joan spent time volunteering at many places. She was an active member of First Reformed Church of Zeeland.
Joan was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank the staff at Royal Park Atrium and the staff at Faith Hospice for the loving care she received.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:15 am Thursday, October 12, 2023, with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 am at First Reformed Church, 125 Lincoln Ave, Zeeland.
