HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 27, 2023) – Two topics will be before the Holland City Council during its biweekly study session on Wednesday night.
The governing panel is expected to get an update from Parks Director Andy Kenyon on Windmill Island Gardens, as the home of the iconic DeZwaan Windmill saw a number of events this past year, some of which were new to the facility. Council will also review amendments to an agreement with Ottawa County that would establish an Early Voting Center in the Tulip City, to conform to a voter-approved state amendment last November that would allow for nine days of in-person ballot casting prior to statewide primary or general elections, beginning in 2024.
According to County Clerk Justin Roebuck, any county resident can cast a ballot at any of the four proposed Early Voting Centers in the county.
The Holland City Council study session begins at 6 PM in the second floor Training Center of Holland City Hall (270 S. River Ave.).
