Juella A. (Dykhuis) Van Eyck, age 98, of Zeeland passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Royal Atrium Inn.
Juella was born on July 27, 1925, to Clarence and Geziena (Hamberg) Dykhuis. She graduated from Holland High School and was a member of Central Park Reformed Church.
Juella was a seamstress during WWII sewing the military uniforms and later used her same skills working for Cris Craft in Holland.
Juella and her husband Thomas enjoyed traveling with trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Florida and especially the WWII Navy reunions. She enjoyed caring for her house plants and spending time at their cottage.
She loved her family with all her heart and was always so happy when they could be together.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Van Eyck in 2013.
She is survived by her sons: Terry (Sandra) Van Eyck of Holland and Randall (Lynn) Van Eyck of Lakeview, MI; grandchildren: Michelle Van Eyck of Seattle, Willard (Alicia) Van Eyck of Zeeland, Jamie Van Eyck of Allegan, MI, Daniel (Sarah) Van Eyck of Dorr, MI and Matthew (Elizabeth) Van Eyck of Zeeland; 5 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sisters: Barbara (Gene) Grotenhuis and Marcia (Jarvis) Brink; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Dykstra Funeral Homes – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Reverend Mary DeWitt will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am – 12:45 pm prior to the service at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Interim Hospice of West Michigan.
