Hunter Pearson booted a 41-yard field goal with two seconds left to lift the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers past visiting Grand Valley State in Golden last night, 31-28. The Lakers host the Colorado State-Pueblo Thunderwolves at Luebbers Stadium in Allendale next Saturday evening.
In state major college football last night, Western Michigan topped St. Francis, 35-17. This evening, Central Michigan is at Michigan State, and Eastern Michigan entertains Howard.

A throwing error by Gleyber Torres on a double play ball allowed Kerry Carpenter to score in the 10th inning as the Tigers got past the visiting New York Yankees at Comerica Park yesterday, 4-3.
