HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 31, 2023) – A 40-year-old Holland man was hospitalized after a crash involving a SUV and a motorcycle on Wednesday night at an intersection on Holland’s North Side.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Eric DeBoer, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to Butternut Drive and 136th Avenue at 9:23 PM. That was where the unnamed man, who was piloting his machine southbound, ran into the rear end of the SUV, driven by a 47-year-old Holland woman, who had been stoped for a traffic signal.
The unhelmeted biker was taken to Holland Hospital in serious condition for treatment of injuries that DeBoer said was not believed to be life-threatening, while the woman was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
