Elsie Kraak (Essenburg), age 95, of Holland, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a woman of faith, and she shared her love for Jesus with her family and community. Elsie worked for many years at Russ’ East Side.
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Sandy and Ken Benjamin; 3 granddaughters and their families: Julie and Steve Lewis [Trevor Lacy, Devyn Prange (Oliver Paul, Emory Michelle), Maddy Lewis, Kailyn Lewis, Corryn Lewis], Shelly and Bobby Lewis [Bobby Jack Lewis IV, Elyse Lewis], Missy and Matt Prins [Morgan Prins, Mason Prins, and Miley Prins]; in-laws: Brenda Essenburg, Roger and Vonda Kraak, Marilyn and Al Harrington; and many extended family.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Paul Kraak in 2016; as well as by her brothers: Ralph, John, Marvin, Simon, and Gary Essenburg; and sisters: Margaret Kiekover and Angeline Schrotenboer.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the Chapel at Central Wesleyan Church, 446 W. 40th Street, Holland 49423.
There will be visitation with the family prior to the funeral on Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
