HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 18, 2023) – Even though Labor Day is seen as the traditional end of the summer vacation season, in reality, it ends this weekend.
That’s because classes begin on Monday in Fennville, with other K-12 districts set to start educating students over the next nine days. It means that marketing for fall is already underway, with some stores already trotting out Halloween promotions.
Holland Area Visitors Bureau Executive Director Linda Hart may not be figuring out her costume for that holiday just yet, but she and her staff are already mapping strategy for when the fall winds blow and the winter snow falls.
Autumn is not a down time for visiting the Tulip City.
By the way, the rundown for when classes begin along the Lakeshore is as follows:
Monday, August 21 – Fennville
Tuesday, August 22 – Holland Christian
Wednesday, August 23 – Holland, Hamilton, Black River, Vanderbilt, Corpus Christi
Tuesday, August 29 – Zeeland, Saugatuck, Calvary
Wednesday, August 30 – West Ottawa
