SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 3, 2023) – A Lakeshore community’s efforts to get a handle on short-term rentals continue on Thursday afternoon.
During a scheduled meeting of a special Short Term Rental Task Force created by the Saugatuck City Council, members will go over input taken from a town hall session on July 25th attended by over 100 members of the public, along with an overview and validity of regulation objectives, and what items this panel would like the retained consultants McKenna Associates to prepare a recommendation on. The nine-member panel has been meeting twice monthly since being formed in March, and is expected to provide a report to council members and the planning commission sometime next month.
The Short Term Rental Task Force meets at 3 PM in the second-floor meeting room of Saugatuck City Hall (102 Butler St.). An online link to the agenda and supporting documents, which includes instructions for virtual viewing of the proceedings, is here.
