GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 29, 2023) – A 23-year-old Grand Haven man was injured in a crash involving a a motorcycle and a sedan south of Grand Haven just after dawn on Saturday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matthew Wildfong, the unnamed biker was heading east on Robbins Road around 6:25 AM when it cross the center line near Mercury Drive and sideswiped a westbound sedan. The machine then went about 150 yards before the man fell. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, while the motorists in the sedan – a 39-year-old male driver and a 15-year-old boy passenger, both from Grand Haven – were not hurt.
Wildfong didn’t mention the circumstances that led the motorcyclist to sideswipe the automobile as the incident remains under investigation.
