OVERISEL TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 17, 2023) – Five persons were injured, two of which were hospitalized, following a two-vehicle crash southeast of Holland on Sunday afternoon.
According to Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brandon Berens, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to 140th Avenue and 47th Street just before 4 PM. That was where an eastbound SUV apparently drove through a stop sign and slammed into a southbound SUV with the right of way.
One unnamed passenger in the southbound SUV was airlifted to an undisclosed hospital in critical condition, while the unnamed at-fault driver was taken to, again, an undisclosed hospital in serious condition. Three others in the southbound SUV, also unnamed, suffered bumps and bruises.
Berens didn’t disclose any other circumstances surrounding the crash, which remains under investigation.
