LAKETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 13, 2023) – A Lakeshore community is looking for public input as to its parks system.
On Thursday evening, the first of two public meetings in Laketown Township this week for discussion about this topic is scheduled. One or more of the township’s parks commissioners – Jeremy Van Hoven, Karen Simmons, Dick Becker, Anne Brand and Brad Laninga – will be on hand to talk about the state of the township’s parks and what can be done to improve them.
In conjunction with these meetings is an online survey on the subject, with a paper copy of the survey to be part of the township’s summer newsletter that will be available by the end of the month. This canvassing is part of the municipality’s planned five-year review of its master plan.
The second public meeting on Laketown Township’s parks is set for 10 AM on Saturday. Both sessions will be at the Township Hall (4338 Beeline Rd.)
