UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, July 12, 2023) – At last night’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Seattle, won by the National League over the American League, 3-2: Michael Lorenzen of the Detroit Tigers pitched two-thirds of a scoreless seventh inning with one hit, one walk, and one strikeout; Justin Steele of the Chicago Cubs pitched one scoreless fifth inning with one hit and one strikeout; and Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox did not play due to an injury sustained in Monday’s Home Run Derby competition.
When regular-season play resumes on Friday evening, the Tigers will be in Seattle to face the Mariners, with broadcast time at 9:45 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC, while the Cubs host the Boston Red Sox at Wrigley Field, the White Sox battle the Braves in Atlanta, and the West Michigan Whitecaps entertain the Lansing Lugnuts at LMCU Ballpark in Comstock Park.
