HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 11, 2023) – A 27-year-old Holland man was injured on Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matthew Wildfong, a small sedan was southbound on US-31 near the New Holland Street junction around 6:45 AM when it left the roadway, rolled over several times, and struck a tree before coming to rest. The unnamed motorist was trapped inside and had to be extricated by rescue workers before being taken to an undisclosed hospital, where he was initially listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
It was raining in the Holland area at the time, but Wildfong did not immediately disclose any other circumstances that may have led the driver to lose control of the vehicle, as the incident remains under investigation.
