Kacen’s passing can be described as nothing less than a “God Thing”, as 7 years ago to the date, his 3-year-old sister, MaKenna was also welcomed into the arms of Jesus. Kacen was a strong fighter, and his family takes comfort in knowing that even though it doesn’t seem like it, God is perfecting and completing his Kingdom every day, and that Kacen’s and MaKenna’s passings are touching lives in ways they don’t yet understand. The number 7 is often used in the Bible to show completeness or perfection, and his family rests in the assurance that God is always at work.
Kacen was preceded in death by his sister, MaKenna Rae Fraaza in 2016.
He is survived by his parents: Tammi & Tyler Woodwyk; his grandparents: Carla & Robert Woodwyk, Lyle & Jan Fraaza; aunts and uncles: Tonya (Eddie) Longoria, Chad Fraaza, Heidi Ter Haar, Ryan (Tamara) Fraaza, Julie (Brad) Veltema, Paul Fraaza, Tracy (Marco) Rios, Michaela (Riley) Woodwyk-Reiffer, Hannah (Brent) McGhan; great-grandma, Katherine Woodwyk, and many cousins.
Visitation with the family will take place from 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor St. Hudsonville, MI. A private family burial will take place at Beaverdam Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the NICU Unit at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital, 100 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, Attn: NICU Unit.
