ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 15, 2023) – Zeeland will have its own “welcome center,” beginning on Thursday.
From 3:30 to 6:30 PM, the Dekker Huis Museum (37 E. Main Ave.) will stage an opening celebration, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony set for 4 PM. Katelyn VerMarris, executive director of the Zeeland Historical Society, says that the venerable building got a bit of a facelift as part of this new venture.
A new website has also been rolled out with more information on the city.
The welcome center opening comes a day after the Museum unveiled its new exhibit honoring the Centennial for office furniture maker Herman Miller, an effort in conjunction with the MillerKnoll Archives, that runs through year’s end.
