Timothy Jay Kleinheksel, age 68, of Holland, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Born on June 19, 1954, in Holland, Tim graduated from Hamilton High School and then went on to attend Michigan State University to study Agriculture. On September 27, 1975, Tim was married to Ruth Elaine Weinsten. They made their home in West Olive, MI when Tim began his career on the Turkey Acre One farm owned by Bil-Mar Foods. He worked as a turkey farmer for 15 years before moving to Holland in 1998 when the farm closed. At this time, he transitioned to a job in Maintenance at Request Foods. He retired from the company after 20 years of service.
Tim enjoyed visiting with family and friends, walking in nature, bird watching, and singing. He was very active in church, having attended many churches in the Holland area over the years. His most recent being Overisel Reformed Church and Christ Memorial Church where he sang in the choir.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, of 41 years.
Tim is survived by daughters, Amy (Mahesh) Narayanan of Warrenville, IL., Mindy (Denny) Segar of Battle Creek, MI.; 4 grandchildren, Josiah, Daithan, Kaelin, Elijah; brothers and sisters, Dale (Kathy) Kleinheksel of Comstock Park, Cal (Nancy) Kleinheksel of Zeeland, Glen (Beth) Kleinheksel of Overisel, Ken (Nancee) Kleinheksel of Hamilton, Joy (Carl) Meyer of Drenthe; Brother and sister in laws, Sheldon (Marcia) Weinstein of Nevada, Marcia Auslander of Farmington, Hills, David (Karen) Weinstein of Israel, Gary (Eileen) Weinstein of Novi, MI. as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 A.M., June 17 at Overisel Reformed Church, 4706 142nd Ave., Holland with Pastor Carole Aardsma officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery.
Friends of the family are welcome prior to the Service from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at Overisel Reformed Church.
