LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 24, 2023) – Who says that a common man can’t bend the ear of an elected official to correct an error in the law without having to resort to funds?
Such is the case with state House Bill 4572, introduced last week by third-term Republican Representative Brad Slagh of Zeeland Township after a constituent pointed out that a loophole of legislation signed into law nine years ago had been created to generate more revenue for state coffers.
The measure is before the House Tax Policy Committee for consideration, and if enacted into law, uncapping incidents after December 30 of 2021 would be corrected.
