ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An Allegan area motorcycle rider is dead after a crash with another vehicle on Wednesday, May 24.
According to Allegan County Central Dispatch, the crash happened 12:10 p.m. on M-89 east of 113th Avenue in Allegan Township.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, a 47-year-old man was traveling west on M-89 on a Suzuki motorcycle when he struck a Buick SUV that had failed to yield to traffic when pulling out of a private parking lot. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Buick, a 56-year-old female, also from the Allegan area, was not injured.
The names of those involved have not been released pending further investigation by the Allegan County Crash Reconstruction Team.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Allegan Police Department, Life EMS, Allegan Fire Department, and the Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office.
