HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 21, 2023) – A 17-year-old man has passed away at a residence in the city of Holland overnight on Sunday, but the circumstances of his death are under investigation.
According to Department of Public Safety Police Services Captain Bob Buursma, officers and firefighters were called to the area of East 17th Street, between College and Columbia avenues, just before 2 AM on a report of a suicide. The unnamed man was found dead at the scene, but “due to numerous individuals being present in the home at the time,” according to Buursma, the incident is being treated as “suspicious in nature.”
No other details were immediately disclosed, and anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact the Holland Department of Public Safety (616-355-1150; policetips@cityofholland.com), or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
