HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 6, 2023) – The 94th Tulip Time Festival begins in earnest on Saturday.
While the Carnival began its run outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place on Friday, and the previous two evenings saw Dutch Dancing at Centennial Park, the festival officially kicked off at 8 AM with the Tulip Time Run through Kollen Park. All day events include historic walking tours at Window on the Waterfront Park and the Tulip Immersion Garden outside of Beechwood Church. The tall ship Friends Good Will from the Michigan Maritime Museum begins its tours from Boatwerks East Dock on Lake Macatawa, while the Art in Bloem fine art showcase is inside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, the Tulip Time Quilt Show is inside Beechwood Church, and the Artisan Market takes over the Ottawa County Fairgrounds.
Dutch Dancing is held in the afternoon at the Fairgrounds before heading to Centennial Park for evening performances. The Holland Community Theatre stages Nana’s Naughty Knickers on Saturday night, while Elton John tribute perfomer Elton Rohn takes the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place stage.
