The advisory for avoiding fueling vehicles, using gas-powered lawn equipment and lighting up the charcoal grill comes as near record high temperatures for this time of year, in the upper 70’s, are predicted for today and tomorrow. This warm spell, coupled with low humidity levels and high winds, led to red flag fire warnings earlier this week.
In weather typical of Michigan this time of year, a cold front coming on Sunday will usher in rain, with the last gasp of winter in the form of a rain/snow mix and temperatures not getting past 45 expected for Monday.
