HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 27, 2023) – Nobody was hurt and a 16-year-old boy was ticketed after a collision between a sedan and a Holland Public Schools bus on Monday afternoon.
According to Department of Public Safety Police Captain Bob Buursma, the unnamed motorist was pulling out of a driveway off of East 24th Street near Holland Middle School shortly before 3 PM when the sedan struck the side of a westbound school bus. There were 32 students inside of the bus, which was driven by a 56-year-old Holland woman.
While the students were taken home by other district buses and the bus driver was giving her statement, the teen was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
