Kyle Scholten, age 39 of Holland, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023.
Kyle was born February 21, 1984, in Holland to Gary and Jill (Nykamp) Scholten. He graduated from Holland Christian High School and served our country in the United States Army National Guard. He served two active-duty tours, one in Iraq and one in Egypt. His performance earned him the Army Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terror service Medal & Iraq campaign Medal with Star. Kyle worked for Merle Boes, Itty Bitty Bar. Kyle loved to play pool and was captain of an APA Billiards club that competed from Rail house to Las Vegas. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Jill Scholten; brothers Chris (April) Scholten, and Curt (fiancé’ Patti) Scholten; nieces and nephews Caden, Addy, Carter, and Easton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
A short service with military honors to celebrate Kyle’s life will take place at Lakeshore Memorial Services after.
A time of visitation to celebrate Kyle’s life will take place Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 1 – 4:00 pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Humane Society.
