HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 24, 2023) – The annual look at Mysteries and Histories Beneath the Inland Seas is coming up on Saturday.
The 7 PM presentation at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland by the Michigan Shipwreck Research Association will feature Ric Mixter’s ongoing investigation into the 1977 wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald, Ross Richardson’s discovery of the upright and still intact two-masted schooner WC Kimball, Bernie Hellstrom and John Janzen double schooner discovery of the Peshtigo and St. Andrew, and MRSA founder Valerie van Heest looking at some deadly disasters stemming from the advent of steamships on the Great Lakes.
It’s the 23rd annual show, and there’s always more material to find, according to another MRSA founder, former Holland City Councilman Craig Rich.
Tickets at $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
