James A. Aalberts, age 78, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Holland Hospital.
Jim was a member of East Saugatuck CRC. He worked for BPW of Holland and was a custodian for Appledorn and Haven Park nursing homes. He was a former member of the Holland Choral and in his retirement, he enjoyed wildlife photography.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Esther (Duven) Aalberts and a grandson Luke Aalberts.
He is survived by his wife Jan and his children: Tim (Joan) Aalberts, Kevin Aalberts, and Michelle (Todd) McDaniel; grandchildren: Tyler (Kirstin) Aalberts, Jayme (Connor) Borah, Brent Aalberts, Benjamin Aalberts, Megan Aalberts, and Brandon McDaniel; great-grandchildren: Liam, Madison, and Archer; step-children: Andy (Jennifer) Dailey and Patrick (Heidi) Dailey; step-grandchildren: Rhianna Dailey, Ashley Timmer, Ashley Dailey, Zachary Dailey, Brittany (Sage) Lewis, Alexis, and Madison; 5 step-great-grandchildren; brother: Leon Aalberts; sister: Linda (Harry) Tyson; brothers-in-law: Jim (Kathy) Zoerner and Tom (Martha) Zoerner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 13, 2023, at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Rev. Wayne Bakker will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
