Who was Sally Godfrey? The best mom who loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Those children are Karen Sprick (Randy), who skillfully handled mom’s medical needs to allow her to live to be 86. Mary Elhart (Bill), looked forward to making food and sharing with mom on the days they did “chores” together. Harvey Godfrey, the best son took care of her house and needs so she could remain at home.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband Harvey C. Godfrey, her mother Gertrude McNitt, her son Gregory W. Graham and grandsons Buck and Mitchell Elhart.
Sally was the proud grandma to Stephanie Meyer, who remembers spending the night and waking up to the smell of bacon and toast and watching cartoons, Ashley Sprick, who loved blasting Michael Jackson music with her grandma, Greggory Elhart, who will always remember the excitement of buying his first computer with her help, Jessica Sprick, who loved that she always made homemade corn dogs and French fries and watched movies when they hung out together, Simone Elhart, who remembers all the time cooking together with her grandma and is grateful for all her patience and support, Elizabeth Castaneda and Jackie Brunet.
Great grandchildren Makenna Meyer and baby boy Meyer are due any day.
Sally left this life beautifully and peacefully at her home with her daughters by her side, pup companion Odis next to her and cat Jenny on her chest on February 21, 2023. Sally was 86 years old.
Thank you, Comfort Keepers, for your help and care, and also Hospice for the guidance and support during Sally’s final days.
