Grand Valley State swept a pair of games from visiting Purdue Northwest last night. Emily Spitzley scored 15 points as the Lakers took the women’s opener, 88-47. Daniel Kiely had 17 points as the men held off the Pride in the nightcap, 77-74. GVSU’s teams welcome the Parkside Rangers to the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale tomorrow afternoon.
In state major-college basketball last night, Michigan State edged Iowa, 63-61, and Michigan lost to Purdue, 75-70. This evening, Detroit is at Robert Morris and Oakland is at Youngstown State.
