LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 26, 2023) – Some persons from the Lakeshore have been tabbed to serve on statewide boards and commissions.
In an announcement from Governor Whitmer’s office on Thursday, Robert Bodtke and Creela Hamlin of South Haven, along with Carley Parsley of Bloomingdale, were reappointed to the Michigan Blueberry Commission, while Jerry Payne of Holland was appointed to fill a vacancy on the state Board of Mechanical Rules.
Bodtke manages Cornerstone Ag Enterprises, Hamiln is the field representative for Peterson Farms Incorporated, Parsley is a partner at Brookside Farms, and Payne is a mechanical inspector for the Grand Rapids suburb of Wyoming. The Blueberry Commission appointments are through the end of 2025, while the Mechanical Rules appointment is only through the end of July.
All of these selections need to be approved by the state Senate before they take effect.
