In Kalamazoo, Evan Thomas had 21 of his 28 points in the second half as the Flying Dutchmen held off the host Hornets, 82-72. In Angola, Claire Baguley had nine of her 22 points in the first quarter as the Flying Dutch took a 26-11 lead in the opening stanza en route to an 83-69 triumph over the host Trine Thunder. Hope’s teams welcome the Albion Britons to DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland on Saturday, with broadcast times at 2:30 PM for the women on 99 7/1450 WHTC, and 5 PM for the men on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van.
Grand Valley State’s men and women entertain the Pride of Purdue Northwest at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale this evening.
In state major-college basketball tonight, Michigan State hosts Iowa and Michigan is home to Purdue.
