GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 31, 2022) – A 29-year-old Hudsonville man is expected to recover from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash between his hometown and Allendale on Saturday evening.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Smoes, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to 48th Avenue near Bauer Road around 5:15 PM. That was where a northbound SUV veered off of the roadway to the left and collided with a tree. The unnamed motorist, who had to be extricated by rescue workers, was taken to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment.
The roadway was blocked off for about an hour while the motorist was attended to and the collision site was cleaned up. The incident remains under investigation.
