ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 12, 2022) – An effort made in October is paying off now.
The annual “Soup-Tober” collection drive by the Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative reached its goal of over 10 thousand cans of soup, as well as financial donations, for distribution among 16 pantries across the county.
Vicki Knuckles is the Program Officer for the Allegan County Community Foundation that helped set up the collaborative 13 years ago to help serve the needs of around six thousand county residents.
The collaborative’s annual Peanut Butter Drive begins next month, with a Cereal Drive set for April. More information on the Foundation and its collaborative is here.
