DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers are parting ways with a former All-Star. The team traded pitcher Joe Jimenez to the Braves yesterday in exchange for two minor leaguers.
The Tigers get left-handed pitcher Jake Higginbotham and outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy in the deal.
In other team news, the Tigers selected pitcher Mason Englert from the Texas Rangers in yesterday’s Rule 5 Draft.
